Scott Tichy is one of McAllister Electric’s newest team members. Though he’s only been with MES for a couple months, Scott has extensive electrical experience due to his several years as a journeyman electrician and project foreman with the IBEW 405 in Cedar Rapids. His favorite projects to work on are those in the industrial sector that allow him to work with fabrication and even welding from high voltage all the way to small receptacle installation. Two of the biggest projects he’s been associated with in his career are the Square D substation and the ADM ethanol substation, both in Cedar Rapids. Right now, Scott is leading the MES team on the Menards Iowa City project.
When not at work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family (he has 6 daughters and 13 grandchildren, the most recent of whom was born just days ago!) and building projects. This summer he constructed a tree house/clubhouse for his grandchildren, complete with a sleeping loft, AC/heat, and windows and doors.
